If you’ve seen A Star is Born already, we need to talk about this foreshadowing scene at the beginning of the movie.
This scene is at the very beginning of the movie, when Jack is in his car on the way to the drag bar. The scene cuts to a frame where you see Jack is sitting in the car, and behind him, through the window, you can see a giant rainbow billboard (that isn’t subtle at all). On that billboard you can clearly see 3 giant nooses which foreshadows Jack’s death at the end of the movie. He commits suicide by hanging himself in the garage using a belt.
What are your thoughts on this? I think it’s absolutely genius. It’s not subtle in any way but may go over peoples heads if they don’t know the storyline.
